Well, Samhain has come and gone. I let it go quietly. I was supposed to have one client, but that ballooned into 5 and I was run ragged by the time 6pm rolled around. Our boarder dressed up and gave out candy so I wouldn't have to, and I concentrated on dinner, such that it was.
Autumn is my favorite season. I love the cool weather and the smell of the leaves. Nothing smells quite like Fall. I've started making butternut squash and apple soup and pumpkin bread. I'm planning what I will make for Thanksgiving dinner.
Two weekends ago we went to FurFright http://www.furfright.org and had a great time. I brought 16 advance print copies of my book The Heart of a Fox to the con. One I kept for myself. One I gave to K'gra because she agreed to sell Heart at her Dealer's Table for me in the Dealer's Room. One I gave to Mark. Two went to the charity auction: one for the raffle and one for the voice auction. Eleven went to sale in the Dealer's Room.
The copy that went to the raffle got 9 bids. The copy that went to the voice auction sold for $40. Ten of the 11 copies sold. So all in all, it was a very good weekend for Heart. I am reworking the cover and fixing some errors I found in the advance copy, then it will go live for the whole world to see. :) I'll make an announcement when it's ready. :)
Other than that, everything has been slow. We bought the tickets to Florida, and Mark got his ticket to England, so those trips are coming together. We're both healthy and the critters are doing well.
That's all for now.
